How to Get Around Boulder
Downtown, Pearl Street, CU Boulder, and The Hill sit close enough for a walking- and bike-friendly stay, while Chautauqua, Flagstaff, North Boulder, and canyon plans need a shuttle, rideshare, bike, or car. Boulder is easier without a car than many Colorado destinations, but not every trailhead belongs in the same walking day.
Arriving
DEN is the nearest practical commercial airport, about 43 road miles from Boulder. Confirm current airport-to-Boulder coach, rideshare, and rental-car options before booking because schedules and pickup arrangements change.
Getting around locally
Walk or bike the central neighborhoods and consult RTD and the official Visit Boulder transportation page for current service. The seasonal Park-to-Park shuttle is the better choice for Chautauqua on busy summer weekends.
Parking
Downtown garages are the easier car base; Chautauqua parking and seasonal shuttle arrangements are operational details that deserve a same-week check.
