Trip-length planner
Galveston is most comfortable with 3 days. That gives the trip room for the parts people travel there to see, without turning every good idea into a timed stop.

A first-trip plan that separates beach time, historic downtown, and one weather-proof or nature day.
A late-afternoon Strand and Pier 21 walk
Check into the Seawall, take a late beach walk, and keep dinner nearby. · Use Pleasure Pier in the cooler part of the day if rides are a priority.
Start at the Railroad Museum, then walk The Strand and Pier 21. · Choose Elissa or Ocean Star, then make a downtown dinner the evening anchor.
Give Moody Gardens a full day for a family trip, or drive west early for state-park beach and marsh time. · Return to the Seawall only if the group still wants an evening walk.
Guided Voyager updates destination guidance regularly, but hours, weather, access, and reservations should be checked close to departure.
